             abstract = "This article will be discussed the case of APA Suru{\'{\i}}, 
                         instituted through Municipal Decree No. 2,300 in May 22, 2007, in 
                         the city of Mag{\'e}, Metropolitan Region of Rio de Janeiro,. The 
                         APA Suru{\'{\i}} is located in an area of direct influence of 
                         the COMPERJ construction, as well as in its transport logistics 
                         and it places itself as a locality with a strong possibility of 
                         implementation of small industries attracted by COMPERJ. APA 
                         Suru{\'{\i}} does not have a management plan or investments in 
                         monitoring environmental impacts. Since the creation decree in 
                         2007 until now, the APA has only the decree, does not have its own 
                         head office or specialized team, and is therefore a paper 
                         conservation unit. In view of this fact, the present research 
                         seeks to perform land use and land cover mapping through a 
                         supervised Landsat-8 image classification based on a methodology 
                         capable of analyzing and monitoring the impacts at the APA.",
